For all those who study anatomy or physiology - can you please explain how once fit, honed muscle becomes something that is apparently unable to lift limbs and propel them forward at anything more than a slow-motion stagger? Nic is fairly convinced there's a muscle fairy who has, with a deft sleight of hand, replaced her previously adequate muscles with jelly from a children's party. It certainly has made it tricky getting up and down stairs after the Monday interval training session of 15 x 30 second runs.
